"The Unsinkable" Molly Brown was an incredible figure in American history, much more than just a survivor of the Titanic. I wrote this poem after visiting the Molly Brown House Museum in Denver, CO.
Unsinkable
A moniker made for Margaret
Nothing for a famous ship
She was unsinkable
In marriage
In motherhood
In policies
In suffragette
An unsinkable icon
of unwavering progress
Learning, loving, changing
Her empathy wrestled
every bigot to oblivion
She was, and will always be,
Unsinkable
